Finally, mandolin and ukulele players can customize a strap to exactly fit their needs while benefitting from the weight reduction comfort of NEOTECH straps. It can even be used on small guitars! It’s easy to attach and holds your instrument securely. The strap comes with several options for customizing the length as well as the method of attachment. Both sides of the strap have extension pieces which can be adjusted or quickly removed with quick release buckles if needed in order to get the shoulder pad positioned perfectly. Each extension piece can add 5.75" - 8.75" (14,6 - 22,2 cm) to the strap. While the back of the strap offers a quick-release leather tab for use with a strap pin, the front side offers two choices of attachment hardware also with a quick-release buckle. It offers a loop attachment with a triglide buckle to secure around either the headstock or the scroll of an F-Style mandolin as well as a top-grade leather attachment for instruments with a strap pin. The modular system makes this the most versatile and comfortable strap on the market. With the MANDOLIN/UKULELE CONNECTOR kit you can keep a set of connectors on a second instrument to make switching from one to another faster and easier than ever!

How to Connect the Mandolin/Ukulele Strap to your Instrument
The loop connector attaches to either the neck or the scroll of an F-Style mandolin which can be tightened with the triglide buckle for added security. The other end uses a top-grade leather attachment for the base of the mandolin.
If your mandolin has pins on both sides of the instrument, you can purchase additional leather connectors.

Sorry to be negative. I really want to like this strap but while it feels great, it's way too long and can't be adjusted to a length that works for me.Functionality Construction Quality Comfort Durability Value

Is it possible to attach this to an A style mandolin without removing the strings ? It's not clear from your pictures or instructions how the loop end is constructed.
AnswerThe strings do not need to be removed in order to attach the strap. To attach the loop end to your instrument:
- 1. Un-click the loop end from the rest of the strap.
- 2. Pass the loop between the strings and neck of your instrument.
- 3. Wrap the loop underneath the neck of the instrument completely encircling the neck.
- 4. Pass the quick disconnect through the loop.
- 5. Pull tight.
- 6. Adjust with the slider if necessary.
