Ambassador Spotlight: George Price

Ambassador Spotlight: George Price
Max McDonough

For our Ambassador Spotlight, we take the time to recognize George Price, a bass player out of the UK. George has been a wonderful ambassador to work with over the years, with lots of experience and wonder that go into his shows. For this feature, we ask George about his connection to our brand and where it has led him.

What is your name / what band and or group do you represent (if applicable)?

My name is George, I am 30, and I am based in London! Over the years I have been fortunate to play in many different projects. The main projects I play in are The Hayley Griffiths Band, Guy Tortora Band and Lyra, however as a session player I play in other projects too.

What instrument do you play?

  • I play the Electric Bass, as well as the Chapman Stick.

How long have you been an ambassador for Neotech?

  • I have been a Neotech Ambassador for roughly 3 years.

Why have you chosen Neotech Straps over other brands?

  • I first started using a Neotech Mega strap at around the age of 12/13 which is when I started to dabble in the world of bass. I picked it up at the local music shop in Preston and since then, I have never used any other strap for my playing.

What features of our products stand out to you?

  • Longevity is a big standout feature. In my whole playing career of roughly 16 years, I have only used 2 straps. Both were Neotech, I had to replace my first one due to it being worn out. They are also incredibly comfortable, wide, soft and allow for a little bounce, which is especially useful when playing heavy basses. In tandem with the strap, I use the Stomp Stopper which protects my cables and makes changing basses in gigs a very quick process on gigs.

What about our products would you recommend to someone else?

  • When people have asked in the past, I make a point on the longevity of the products. I add that they are made by people that understand musicians' needs which go a long way. They are made with care and use high quality materials. Lastly, comfort is top priority, and their look is cool and sleek. The soft neoprene is a game changer and that is why I use nothing but Neotech.
