Mandolin and ukulele players can now benefit from the weight reduction comfort of Neotech straps. The Mandolin/Ukulele Strap is easy to attach and holds your instrument securely.
Finally, mandolin and ukulele players can customize a strap to exactly fit their needs while benefitting from the weight reduction comfort of Neotech straps. The Mandolin/Ukulele Strap can even be used on small guitars! It’s easy to attach and holds your instrument securely. The strap comes with several options for customizing the length as well as the method of attachment. Both sides of the strap have extension pieces which can be adjusted or quickly removed with quick-release buckles if needed in order to get the shoulder pad positioned perfectly. Each extension piece can add 5.75"–8.75" (14,6cm–22,2 cm) to the strap.
While the back of the strap offers a quick-release leather tab for use with a strap pin, the front side offers two choices of attachment hardware also with a quick-release buckle. It offers a loop attachment with a triglide buckle to secure around either the headstock or the scroll of an F-Style mandolin as well as a top-grade leather attachment for instruments with a strap pin. The modular system makes this the most versatile and comfortable strap on the market. With extra Mandolin/Ukulele Connectors (sold separately) you can keep a set of connectors on a second instrument to make switching from one to another faster and easier than ever!

How to Connect the Mandolin/Ukulele Strap to your Instrument
The loop connector attaches to either the neck or the scroll of an F-Style mandolin which can be tightened with the triglide buckle for added security. The other end uses a top-grade leather attachment for the base of the mandolin.
If your mandolin has pins on both sides of the instrument, you can purchase additional leather connectors.
Ordered and received both the mandolin strap and the banjo super strap from Amazon on 5/19/18. I like the engineering behind these straps but both are too long, even when set to minimum length. This is problematic for a shorter person (male, 5' 4"). I will detail the problem with the banjo super strap in the review under that strap. The problem with the mandolin strap pad is that it barely gets over my shoulder, most of the pad is on my back. The solution is a much shorter removable section to attach to the scroll of my F style mandolin. Neotech's response to a customer with a similar problem (see mandolin strap reviews) was to customized the strap. I have sent a detailed e-mail along with a photo of myself while wearing the strap to give Neotech some idea of an appropriate length. I'm willing to pay for a shorter customized section as a solution. I hope this works out as I like the strap.
I've had my Neotech mandolin strap for over 5 years now, and it is holding up incredibly well! It is lightweight, very durable and comfy. Another thing I love about this strap is no metal parts to scratch up the top of the mandolin when it is in the case. And if I ever break a clip, they sell them separately too! Great strap, bought mine on the recommendation of a player when I was starting out, and I pass on the recommendation!
I have a Neotech strap for my Banjo and Mandolin. Great straps. Really like the little bit of stretch. Very comfortable over the shoulder. Going to buy one for my guitar.
I couldn't ask for a more configurable and awesome strap!
I love this strap. I've tried quite a few, and this is by far the most comfortable. And the quick release buckles are exactly what I was hoping for. It took a little trial and error for me to get the length exactly right for me, since there are several configurations possible with the 3 extension pieces. Ultimately I ended up placing one extension at the base, and one at the headstock, both adjusted to the shortest position. I am a 5'2" small framed, skinny person, and this was short enough for me with the ukulele resting in a high position as most ukes are played, and the cushy Neotech in perfect position across my shoulder. I am recommending this strap to my uke club members.
Sorry to be negative. I really want to like this strap but while it feels great, it's way too long and can't be adjusted to a length that works for me.
We can always modify a strap to be a certain length. If you give us the dimensions you wish the strap to be, we can alter it. Please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
